Chenango County Parking Regulation

Pursuant to the Chenango County Parking Area law and the authority granted to me therein, I hereby make the following rules and regulation with regard to parking on County Property adjacent to the County Office Building:

  • All Chenango County parking lots listed shall have signage reflecting Local Law No. 7 of 1990. This local law of Chenango County shall be known as the "Chenango County Parking Area Law". All parking in said restricted areas shall be in areas designated by signs and markings or other directions posted. It shall be unlawful for any person or operator to park any vehicle within any of the restricted areas beyond 12:00 midnight of one day until 6:00 in the forenoon of the following day.

  • The Southernmost lot off Court Street and adjacent to the Guernsey Library, both right and left sides, and the Northernmost side adjacent to the 1991 wing is reserved for use by the general public who are transacting official business within the Chenango Office Building. Within said lot the places designated as Handicapped Parking shall be utilized only for vehicles bearing handicap license plates and or handicap signage.

  • The lot in the DSS Administration Building, the lot adjacent to Fair Street, the lot in the rear, and the lot adjacent to Fair and Guernsey of the Chenango County Office Building are to be utilized exclusively for Chenango County Vehicles and by County Building employees.

  • For the purposes hereof a "County Building Employee" shall include all County officers and employees as well as other persons whose regular worksite is within the Chenango County Office Building and DSS Administration Building, and the Court House. Further, "members of the general public" shall deem to exclude a County Building Employee as previously defined.
