If an individual representing a Board of Elections employee visits your home, please don’t engage with them, and call our office immediately at 607-337-1760.

Absentee Ballot Dates for the 2023 General Election
- October 23, 2023 is the last day for the board of elections to RECEIVE an application or letter of application by mail or online portal for a General Election Ballot
- November 6, 2023 is the last day to apply in person for a General Election Ballot
- November 7, 2023 is the last day to postmark a General Election ballot, must be received no later than November 14, 2023
- November 7, 2023 is the last day to deliver a General Absentee ballot in person to your county board or your poll site by close of polls on Election Day.

Registration Deadline
The registration deadline for the Tuesday, November 7, 2023 General Election is Saturday, October 28.
Early Voting for this election will be conducted at the Chenango County Board of Elections, 5 Court Street,
Norwich, NY 13815 during the following hours and dates.
Saturday and Sunday, October 28, 29, November 4 and 5, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Monday, Wednesday and Friday, October 30, November 1 and 3, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Tuesday and Thursday, October 31 and November 2, from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM
Poll Worker Recruitment
Recruiting for poll workers to join our ranks to be ready for new voting machine in November.
Certification training will be offered in mid-September, and, upon successful completion of certification exam,
poll workers will be trained on the duties of this job, as well as the new machines. Poll workers are compensated for their time.
