Diseases that are spread from person to person are called communicable diseases.  This program routinely investigates and aids in the prevention of the spread of reportable communicable diseases through investigation and education by Prevention Nurses Team and Environmental Health Staff.   This involves interaction with county residents, medical facilities, nursing homes, local physicians, and other county health departments.
