Volunteer Opportunities

The Chenango County Area Agency on Aging is always looking for volunteers. Two major areas we are always looking for are Home Delivered Meal Driver and HIICAP (Health Insurance Information, Counseling and Assistance Program). Home Delivered Meal Driver is a valuable service that requires only an hour of your time and use of your own vehicle.

HIICAP volunteers assist clients with Medicare and related health insurance decision, enrollments and problems, and provide general support to the HIICAP program as needed. Certification is required for volunteers who provide HIICAP counseling and certification preparation is provided. Department staff provides training and supervision. Volunteer hours are flexible.
