Alzheimer's CSI Program (Caregivers Support Initiative) is a program that provides respite services for caregivers that will offer care and support to individuals with AD/D by providing a temporary reprieve from caregiving and allowing the opportunity to safely leave the care recipients for short or longer periods of time. Respite services will afford caregivers an interval of relief by providing time for them to engage in necessary and important functions including but not limited to, social activities, attending appointments, worship services, family commitments, and attention to other personal needs. Respite services will be provided by trained professional who may be volunteers or paid individuals. The services will be person centered to reflect both the cultural needs and level of care of the caregiver and person with AD/D.
